Meet Payton!

Payton Bucki is the lead organizer and founding member of Royal Oak Rising. She began Royal Oak Rising in response to a growing need in Metro Detroit for a community where young people can connect with like-minded individuals and engage in political advocacy. Currently, Payton is a graduate student studying public administration at Oakland University, with plans to enter law school in the fall of 2026. Outside of school and her advocacy endeavors, Payton loves to read, spend time outside, and hang out with her cat, Scooby!
